Our Philosophy

Mission

MAPS is dedicated to building an efficient, clear, and user-friendly database of teaching activities for music educators. Through a practical, well-structured classification system, intuitive search tools, and ready-to-use activity guides, MAPS helps teachers spend less time searching for and organizing resources and more time focusing on meaningful teaching and musical experiences.

Vision

We envision MAPS as a shared platform for music educators across age groups, teaching settings, and learning environments. Beyond helping teachers discover and use classroom activities, MAPS aims to foster exchange, collaboration, and the collective growth of teaching practice. Our vision is to make high-quality music teaching activities easier to share, adapt, and build upon—so that practical classroom knowledge can continue to grow through the contributions of educators themselves.

Core Belief

We believe lesson planning should empower teachers to explore, not overwhelm them. Good teaching resources should be easy to find, easy to understand, and easy to put into practice. Especially for new teachers, a clear and reliable platform can reduce uncertainty and create more space for experimentation, exploration, and the joy of teaching.

Our Story

In the summer of 2026, our different journeys in music brought us together. We shared what we had learned along the way and began looking for new directions together. Each discovery in the classroom became a marker on a map. As we shared and made sense of our experiences, the paths grew clearer, connecting to form a little map of music teaching. And so, MAPS began.

We believe a teaching activity finds its value in the possibilities it opens up when it meets a student. The same idea can unfold in different ways from one classroom to another. We hope the activities we share offer inspiration you can put into practice, along with room to try things out and make them your own—always with your students in mind.

Now, we would like to share this map with you. You do not have to visit every place on it. But you can see the paths that brought us here. We hope the markers we have left along the way help you find your bearings whenever you need a little guidance.

MAPS. Sharing the paths that brought us here, and looking forward to discovering new directions with you.
